2024 NFL Mock Draft: New First-Round Forecast Full of Major Surprises

Most early estimates for the 2024 NFL Draft appear to have reached an agreement at the top, with three quarterbacks coming off the board in about the same order most of the time.

Caleb Williams of USC is frequently ranked first, followed by North Carolina's Drake Maye and LSU's Jayden Daniels.

However, the latest 2024 NFL mock draft from Joe DeLeone of BLEAV goes in a different way after sending Williams to the Chicago Bears at No. 1,

swapping the other two passers as Daniels lands with the Washington Commanders at No. 2, while the New England Patriots select Maye at No. 3.

Both Daniels and Maye deserve to be considered for the No. 1 choice with Williams, so it would not be surprising if either went No. 2. While Maye has held the No. 2 slot since last offseason,

Daniels' spectacular 2023 season, which finished with a Heisman Trophy, has propelled him into the same area. That isn't the only surprise in this mock draft.

The Tennessee Titans select Oregon State's Taliese Fuaga over Penn State's Olu Fashanu at No. 7 offensive tackle. One choice later, the Atlanta Falcons use their top-10 pick to choose Oregon's Bo Nix, the fourth quarterback off the board.

Other surprises in this projection include Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze falling out of the top ten (No. 12, Denver Broncos), Fashanu falling all the way to the Indianapolis Colts at No.
