A shoulder dislocation occurred to NBA player Julius Randle. The Knicks have informed him of the latest developments.

Julius Randle's injury has improved for the Knicks. In Saturday's 125-109 triumph over the Miami Heat, the 29-year-old power forward dislocated his shoulder

After the Madison Square Garden game, Randle had an MRI and X-rays after landing hard.

The two-time NBA All-Star is a Knicks star this season, averaging 24 points and 9.2 rebounds. His return is expected in "weeks, not months," says ESPN.

Randle may play again in a few weeks without surgery. The New York Post said that Rothman Orthopaedic Institute physician Dr. Dennis DeBernardis said Randle could recover strength in two to three weeks.

Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau was mum on Randle's health before Monday's win over the Hornets. “He’s being smart right now, as are we,” Thibodeau said.

"After obtaining the information, we'll make a solid conclusion. "I think that's crucial to decision-making. Speculating before all the information is just guesswork."

Randle and the Knicks are in fantastic form heading into the mid-February NBA All-Star break.

While planning a court return, the 29-year-old will have 10 more days off. ESPN reports that Randle has participated in 95% of Knicks games since 2019.

Before missing Monday's 113-92 win over the Hornets, he participated in all 46 games. The 27-19 Knicks host the Utah Jazz on Tuesday at the Garden.
