Despite his "Selfish" image, Justin Timberlake still enjoys "pop life." with an appearance on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" Tuesday, Timberlake, who started with NSYNC, discussed recording new songs with the group.

The 1995-formed NSYNC released its self-titled first album in March 1998. Nine Top 10 Pop Airplay successes, three multiplatinum albums, and eight Grammy nominations followed for the boy band. Timberlake, who is about to release his sixth solo album, "Everything I Thought It Was," discussed how NSYNC affected his music.
"Growing up in the industry and getting access to so much in the studio, I just became like a studio rat," stated Timberlake. "I liked the creative process and being there. I also worked on harmonies with four other men.
In an October OK magazine interview, Timberlake's bandmate Fatone discussed "Better Place"'s popularity. "It's as if we died and came back to life," Fatone remarked of the song's No. 25 Billboard Hot 100 debut. "I didn't think it was going to have the magnitude it had.
Fatone acknowledged the idea of an NSYNC reunion tour, but he stressed the lads won't leave soon. Fatone will tour alongside Backstreet Boys' AJ McLean on the A Legendary Night Tour in March.
People are obviously yelling and screaming for a tour, but there's a lot of things that come into play before that could happen," said Fatone. "There are five guys—some married, some with kids, some may not want to do it. We must discuss what to do now that the music is out.
