(Part-2) Against the Lions, Warner establishes a postseason record for the 49ers.

"I told the team that there was no more time for pep talks," stated Warner. The on-offense team held possession of the ball first. They were compelled to score. On defense, we needed a stop; failing that, we would not be able to go to Las Vegas.

After a dubious fourth-down call by the Lions, the 49ers' defense got a stop on the first play of the second half, forcing a turnover on downs.

The 49ers stormed back with 27 unanswered points after being held scoreless for the opening four Lions possessions of the second half by Warner and San Francisco's defense.

With 5 minutes and seventeen seconds left in the third quarter, the 49ers' offense scored a touchdown to make the score 24-17 for the Lions. However, the game-changing play came from San Francisco's defense.

After starting on their own 25-yard line, the Lions' offense got the ball on the San Francisco offensive's 24-yard line on the opening play of a drive thanks to a forced fumble by Tashaun Gipson Sr., which Arik Armstead recovered quickly.

Christian McCaffrey scored the game-tying touchdown run from one yard out to tie the game at 24–24 for the 49ers, who miraculously erased a 17–point deficit in less than 12 minutes. The offensive drive lasted four plays and went 24 yards.

Warner and the 49ers' seasoned defense came through in the clutch, despite a difficult first half

The next stop on their Super Bowl LVIII schedule is February 11 at Allegiant Stadium, where they will face the Kansas City Chiefs.
