Delicious cinnamon rolls make a great breakfast or dessert. Basic homemade cinnamon roll recipe:

Ingredients: For Dough: 1 cup warm milk (110°F/43°C) 2 Tbsp dried active yeast 1/3 cup sugar 4 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter 1 tsp salt 2 big eggs To prepare the filling, soften 1/2 cup unsalted butter. 1 cup packed brown sugar Two teaspoons ground cinnamon For frosting: 4 ounces softened cream cheese 1/4 cup softened unsalted butter 1 cup powdered sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla

Instructions: Activate yeast: Mix warm milk, active dry yeast, and a pinch of sugar in a bowl. Wait 5-10 minutes for frothing. Mix the activated yeast, sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs in a large basin to make the dough. Gradually add flour and mix until soft dough forms.

Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes on a floured board until smooth and elastic. Let it rise: location the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm location for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.

Make the filling: Mix melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. On a floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle. Apply cinnamon-sugar filling on dough evenly.

Roll it: Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log. Slice 1.5–2 inches thick. Place in pan: Place cinnamon buns in a greased baking pan with space between them. Allow to rise for 30–45 minutes under cover.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake: Bake the cinnamon rolls for 20–25 minutes in the preheated oven until golden brown. Make the frosting: Beat cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy while the rolls bake.

Frost the rolls: After the cinnamon rolls cool, apply cream cheese icing on top. Enjoy warm cinnamon rolls with sugar, cinnamon, and icing!
