At-Home Chex Mix Recipe

2 Min Read

  • 4 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 4 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 2 cups mixed nuts (such as peanuts, almonds, or cashews)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the Corn Chex, Rice Chex, pretzels, and mixed nuts.

In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter.

Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.

Pour the seasoned butter mixture over the dry ingredients in the large bowl.

Gently toss and stir until the cereal, pretzels, and nuts are evenly coated.

Spread the mixture evenly onto two large baking sheets.

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating and prevent burning.

After one hour, remove the Chex Mix from the oven and let it cool completely on the baking sheets.

The mix will crisp up as it cools.

Once cooled, store the Chex Mix in an airtight container.

It can be kept for several days, though it’s so delicious it might not last that long!

Feel free to customize the recipe by adding your favorite snacks or adjusting the seasonings to suit your taste.

Enjoy your homemade Chex Mix!
